Melasma

Melasma manifests as ill-defined brown to gray colored hyperpigmentation on the face, neck or anywhere else that is heavily exposed to the sun over time. Aside from the sun, hormone fluctuation from birth control medication and pregnancy can trigger melasma.

Melasma can improve with sun protection, including a broad spectrum (UVA and UVB) sunscreen, clothing, wide-brim hats and sunglasses and generally avoiding the sun.

We improve Melasma with various products and treatments.

Recommended products from our SkinCare USA include retinol pads, advanced retinol serum, retinol body lotion, skin tone enhancement therapy (lotion or pads) and hydroquinone, which is combined with skin tone enhancement therapy and often the serum from our retinol pads.

All of the products mentioned above should be paired with our physical sunscreen, available in a tinted cream, sheer cream and sheer spray, to avoid treatment reversal and ensure sun protection.

Our online store will go live soon. Until then, please stop in to browse our product selection or call (808)263-3233 to reserve and purchase any of the above products.

Recommended treatments include Chemical Peels, Co2Re Resurfacing and Sciton BBL. Click the links for detailed information about all of these procedures.
